29 Sep, 2016 – World Heart Day

Every year 29 Sep, is celebrated as “World Heart Day” all over the world. The reason behind celebrating this day is to increase awareness among the people across the globe related to the cardiovascular disease (CVD).

If we will pay heed to cardiovascular disease CVD, including heart disease and stroke, then we will come to the culmination that it is the foremost cause of death in the world, killing 17.5 million people a year. This mean around a third of all deaths on the planet.

One more point here to notice that, around 80% of these deaths are in low- and middle-income countries where human and financial resources are least able to handle the CVD burden. 

So to vanquish this international issue, World Heart Day plays a vital role in changing all these calamities. This all is monitored by a World Health Federation campaign, working for spreading cognizance among individuals, families, societies and governments take some productive actions.
